Andreas Ottl has left relegated Hertha Berlin to join Augsburg on a two-year contract.

Ottl, 27, is a former Germany U-21 international who has made 135 top-flight appearances with Bayern Munich, Nurnberg and Hertha.

Hertha were relegated from the top tier of the Bundesliga at the end of last season after losing a play-off against Fortuna Dusseldorf.
