Velez Sarsfield finished their Clausura campaign with a win away to Racing Club thanks to Augusto Fernandez's late goal.

Federico Insua had given the visitors a first-half lead and, though Ivan Pillud looked to have earned Racing a point with eight minutes remaining, Fernandez struck in the 87th minute.

The win takes Velez ahead of Newell's Old Boys to fourth in the table, and they could still be elevated to third should All Boys beat Boca Juniors by at lest two goals - but less than six - tomorrow.
