Hannover have sold forward Moritz Stoppelkamp to ambitious 2.Bundesliga side 1860 Munich for an undisclosed fee. The 25-year-old requested a transfer after Die Lowen made their approach and the Bundesliga club accepted the offer for the former Rot Weiss Oberhausen forward, who moved to Lower Saxony in 2010.
"We accepted the player's wishes by releasing him early," said Hannover's director of sport Jorg Schmadtke. "We thank Moritz Stoppelkamp for his performances for Hannover and wish him all the best at his new club."
Stoppelkamp made 44 Bundesliga appearances for Die Roten, playing an additional five games in the UEFA Europa League last season.
