Corinthians claimed their first point of the Campeonato season at the third attempt following a 1-1 draw at home to Figueirense on Thursday.

After back-to-back defeats Gabriel Danilo's 38th-minute goal coupled with a red card for Figueirense's Conceicao looked to be enough for victory.

But Correa Caio defied the numerical disadvantage to grab a point for the visitors.

Cruzeiro were 3-2 winners at Botafogo after coming from two goals behind.

Carlos Amaral's own-goal and German Herrera's 69th-minute strike left Botafogo on course for three points only for Anselmo Ramon (74), Everton (76) and Wellington (80, pen) to effect the turnaround.
