Vasco lead, Internacional, Flamengo in thriller
Vasco da Gama lead the early stages of the Brazilian Campeonato after Felisbino Alecsandro scored a stunning winner in their 1-0 victory over Portuguesa. Vasco have six points from two games after Alecsandro netted an acrobatic overhead kick 22 minutes into the game.
Internacional lie second in the table, two points behind Vasco, following a 3-3 draw away to Flamengo. Internacional scored through Gilberto, Silva Fabricio and Jesus Datolo. The Flamengo goals were scored by from Airton, Ronaldinho and Vagner Love, who were pegged back after leading 2-0.
Bida scored for Atletico Goianiense in the 1-1 draw with Ponte Preta whose goal came from Roger. The game between Nautico Recife and Cruzeiro ended 0-0.
