Elfsborg profit after Malmo draw
Elfsborg extended their lead to eight points in the Swedish Allsvenskan with a 2-0 win over Hacken as second-placed Malmo were held to a 1-1 draw at GIF Sundsvall.
Stefan Ishizaki set Elfsborg on their way with a goal in the sixth minute and Lasse Nilsson's 81st-minute penalty made the points secure. Hacken then had Dominic Chatto sent off in the last minute.
Malmo were forced to come from behind after Johan Eklund gave the home side a 16th-minute lead. Alexander Nilsson, a first-half substitute for Math Ranegie, equalised in the 58th minute.
AIK moved within a point of Malmo with a 1-0 home win over GAIS thanks to Viktor Lundberg's last-minute goal.
IFK Gothenburg drew 1-1 with Kalmar in the night's other game, Joel Allansson giving the hosts the lead early in the second half before Jonathan McDonald equalised.
