DC United moved second in the Eastern Conference with a 2-0 win over the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday.

Lewis Neal set up Dwayne De Rosario for the first after 25 minutes and Hamdi Salihi added a second on the hour, knocking in the rebound after Matt Pickens saved Branko Boskovic's header.

The win puts DC a point behind the New York Red Bulls and level with Sporting Kansas City, though they have played more games than their rivals.
