Barcelona defender Dani Alves will miss the Copa del Rey final next week after breaking his collarbone in training on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old Brazilian's injury was assessed and Barcelona announced on their website that he would undergo surgery immediately.
According to Barcelona, club doctors Ricard Pruna and Carlos Torrens will provide an update on Alves' condition later in the evening.
Barcelona are due to play Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish cup final on 25 May, in what will be Pep Guardiola's final match as coach.
