Second-placed Malmo needed a last-minute equaliser from substitute Alexander Nilsson to salvage a point from their trip to IFK Gothenburg tonight.
IFK looked set to inflict a third defeat of the campaign on the Allsvenska high-fliers after taking a 2-1 lead with 12 minutes to go through Mikael Dyrestam, but Malmo escaped with a draw thanks to Nilsson.
Malmo, who also had to fight back from a goal down in the first half with Simon Thern (44) cancelling out Robin Soder's opener (31) for the hosts, are now six points behind leaders IF Elfsborg but have played a game more.
In tonight's other game, strugglers Gefle IF and GIF Sundsvall played out a goalless draw.
