FC Copenhagen continue to wobble at the top of the Danish Superliga after being held to a 1-1 draw at home to relegation-threatened Odense. Copenhagen have seen their once commanding lead cut to just a single point by Nordsjaelland, who had begun the week six points adrift before a midweek 1-0 win over the capital club.
And after Nordsjaelland also won yesterday, Copenhagen faltered again as they needed an 83rd-minute Dame N'doye penalty to take anything from their penultimate home game. Odense, a place above the drop zone, had looked like grabbing a win that would have all but assured their survival when they led late into the game after Morten Skoubo's 62nd-minute opener.
Koge's relegation was confirmed as they lost 3-1 at home to AGF Aarhus. Simon Richter (66) had cancelled out Aron Johannsson's 18th-minute opener but the Icelandic striker struck again on 79 minutes before Osama Akharraz confirmed Koge's relegation.
Third-placed Horsens moved closer to a UEFA Europa League place with a 1-0 win at Silkeborg. Troels Klove scored the only goal on 53 minutes and they held on despite the 64th-minute dismissal of Anders Nohr. AaB won 1-0 at home to Brondby with Nicklas Helenius scoring the winner on 72 minutes.
