Santos Laguna moved top of the Clausura table with a 3-0 win over Tigres. Quickfire first-half goals from Rodolfo Salinas (20) and Carlos Quintero (24) sent Santos on their way before Juan Rodriguez sealed the win with a 66th-minute penalty to lift them above their rivals.
Monterrey stayed fourth with a 1-1 draw at home to Pachuca. Humberto Suazo snatched a share of the spoils with a 90th-minute equaliser after Daniel Arreola's 15th-minute opener.
Cruz Azul boosted their hopes of making the finals series with a 5-2 win over last-placed Estudiantes Tecos. Gerardo Flores opened the scoring on 33 minutes before a Juan Carlos Leano own goal on 43 minutes. Edixon Perea added a double on 62 and 73 minutes before Tecos finally replied via a Jair Pereira 78th-minute own goal. Israel Castro got a fifth for Cruz Azul on 84 minutes before Eduardo Lillingston rounded out the scoring.
Flavio Santos struck a 48th-minute winner as Atlas won 1-0 at Guadalajara, who had Kristian Alvarez sent off in injury time. Tijuana won 1-0 at San Luis thanks to Duvier Riascos' 74th-minute goal.
Toluca battled back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at 10-men Queretaro. The hosts were seemingly in control after goals from Israel Martinez (29) and Mitchel Oviedo (34) but an Ivan Alonso double (54, 61) drew Toluca level before Martinez's 67th-minute dismissal.
