Kevin Mirallas scored his 19th goal of the season as Olympiacos recorded a ninth straight
The result took the Piraeus club ten points clear of bitter rivals Panathinaikos, who are appealing against a three-point deduction for crowd trouble during a match against Olympiacos which would reduce that gap to seven, with nine points still on offer.
Panathinaikos beat Aris Thessaloniki 1-0 in their match today to keep alive their slim title hopes, with Hungarian substitute Gergely Rudolf netting the only goal eight minutes from time. Pana played the last 31 minutes with ten men after the sending-off of Nikos Spyropoulos.
Atromitos are a distant third still after drawing 2-2 at struggling Ergotelis. Penalties from Elias Anastasakos (51) and substitute Kostas Mitroglou (64) put Atromitos in control against an Ergotelis side reduced to ten men by the 48th-minute dismissal of goalkeeper Zaharias Kavoussakis.
However, they fought back with goals from Borislav Jovanovic (74) and Nikos Katsikokeris (80) to lie three points above the bottom three.
Doxa Dramas drop
Bottom side Doxa Dramas' relegation was confirmed as they lost 1-0 at FC Xanthi, Theodoros Vassilakakis scoring the decisive goal in the 12th minute.
Second-bottom Kerkyra still have hopes of avoiding the drop and salvaged a 2-2 draw at home to AEK Athens thanks to Athanassis Tsigas' 90th-minute goal. Abdul Osman gave Kerkyra a 14th-minute lead, but Victor Klonaridis levelled two minutes later and the capital club forged ahead eight minutes before the break through Nikos Liberopoulos.
AEK's point took them level with fourth-placed PAOK Thessaloniki, who lost 2-1 at home to in-form Giannina. A six-match unbeaten run has taken Giannina seven points clear of the drop zone, and they led in Thessaloniki thanks to Emiljano Vila's seventh-minute goal. Fotis Georgiou doubled their lead with 20 minutes left and although Thanassis Papazoglou quickly pulled one back, the visitors held on for three points.
Asteras Tripoli's UEFA Europa League play-off hopes were dented by a 2-2 draw at home to OFI Crete. A 12th-minute own goal by Vando was cancelled out by Vangelis Mantzios (31), but Asteras were back in front by the break through Emanuel Francou (37). The islanders secured a point through Fotis Papoulis' 73rd-minute goal.
Finally, Panionios leapfrogged Levadiakos by beating them 2-0 with goals from Njazi Kuqi and Admir Kurdi.
