Lucerne and Young Boys remain second and third in the Swiss Super League after both sides enjoyed home victories today.
Lucerne beat ten-man Grasshoppers, who had Michael Lang sent off on 23 minutes, 1-0 thanks to a 25th-minute goal from Xavier Hochstrasser, while Young Boys thrashed FC Thun 4-0.
A penalty from Christoph Spycher on 31 minutes gave Young Boys the lead and Raul Bobadilla made it 2-0 just before half-time. Further goals from David Degen on 82 minutes and Emmanuel Mayuka in the 90th minute completed the rout.
Elsewhere, bottom side FC Sion defeated Lausanne Sports 1-0 courtesy of Yerly Danick's 73rd-minute goal.
