Volga Nizhny Novgorod remain entrenched in the relegation play-off places following a 2-1 home defeat against Krasnodar.

Shota Bibilov gave Volga hope of a much-needed win when he cancelled out Yura Movsisyan's 49th-minute penalty. Alexander Martynovich grabbed the winner on 68 minutes, though, to leave Volga six points from safety.
