Fenerbahce closed the gap on Turkish Super Lig leaders Galatasaray to six points with a 6-1 thrashing of Genclerbirligi.

Miroslav Stoch scored twice in the first half either side of a Moussa Sow effort to put the home side in complete command. Emre Belozoglu made it 4-0 after 56 minutes and although the visitors pulled a goal back through Soner Aydogdu's penalty on the hour, Alex de Souza and Issiar Dia completed the rout.

At the other end of the table, Ankaragucu remain adrift after losing 5-2 at home to Eskisehirspor. The home side twice went ahead through Atilla Garhan and Serol Demirhan, but each time the lead only lasted a matter of seconds as Diomansy Kamara and Erkan Zengin hit back. Diego Angelo and Kamara then struck again before Alper Potuk completed the scoring 12 minutes from time.

Elsewhere, Samsunspor won 2-0 at Antalyaspor with a penalty from Theofanis Gekas in the 14th minute and a late goal from Ekigho Ehiosun, while Mersin Idmanyurdu beat Orduspor 1-0 as Spas Delev scored the only goal.
