Jupiler Pro League leaders Anderlecht were held to a goalless draw at Lierse this evening but still gained ground on second-placed Club Brugge, who lost 3-0 at Genk.
Christian Benteke netted twice for and Jelle Vossen completed the scoring as sixth-placed Genk inflicted a seventh defeat of the season on Brugge.
The loss saw them slip eight points behind Anderlecht with just three games remaining of the regular season.
Also in the Belgian top flight tonight, fifth-spotted Standard Liege and bottom-of-the-table St Truidense battled out a goalless draw.
