Portuguese Liga leaders Benfica suffered their first defeat of the season as they went down 1-0 at Guimaraes tonight.

Marcelo Toscano scored the only goal of the game in the 37th minute as Benfica missed the chance to move five points clear of second-placed Porto.

Guimaraes stayed sixth despite the win.
