Bayern Munich's director of sport Christian Nerlinger says his side have no chance of winning the Bundesliga this season if they carry on playing like they did in yesterday's 0-0 draw at Freiburg.

That result saw Bayern fall four points behind Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table and Nerlinger has admitted his concern.

"The alarm bells are ringing at FC Bayern now, if they weren't already," he told Sky. "Especially in the first half, there was nothing that you need to be successful. Our attitude, aggression and passion were lacking.

"To be honest, there was nothing in the first half which has anything to do with FC Bayern. If we carry on like this, then we have no chance of winning the title."

Bayern dropped to third in the table as a result of their draw in Freiburg and coach Jupp Heynckes admits his former club Borussia Monchengladbach are also serious title contenders.

"We have lost two points on Dortmund and Monchengladbach are above us and that shows that the teams above us are stable and we really cannot afford a slip-up like today," he said.
