Young Boys edged out FC Sion 1-0 with a late penalty to leapfrog them into second place in the Swiss Super League.

Christoph Spycher scored from the spot in the 83rd minute to bag all the points and move Young Boys within six points of leaders Basel, who they are set to face on Thursday. 

FC Zurich defeated a ten-man Grasshoppers side 2-0 through an Adrian Nikci brace, which he scored inside five minutes at the start of the second half.

Nikci broke the deadlock in the 47th minute and then added the second from the penalty spot four minutes later following the dismissal of Daniel Pavlovic.
