Second-division side Greuther Fuerth have been given a home draw against Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal.

The Bavarians will host the defending Bundesliga champions on 20 or 21March with the winners facing either Borussia Monchengladbach or Bayern Munich in the final in May.

Fuerth are the only remaining lower-league side in the competition, having eliminated Nurnberg and Hoffenheim in the last two rounds. And with Bayern and Gladbach both destined for a place in the UEFA Champions League next season via their league placing, Fuerth may have an extra incentive to defeat Dortmund next month.

Victory could also secure the Bavarians a place in the UEFA Europa League next season, regardless of whether they were then to win the final in Berlin or not. However, first they must see off Dortmund, who have not lost in 16 league and cup matches.
