Panathinaikos' six-match Superleague winning streak came to an end today as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Levadiakos.
Substitute Pashalis Melissas scored in the 83rd minute, three minutes after coming on, to seal the win and leave Olympiacos able to cut Pana's lead to two points if they can beat PAOK in Salonika tomorrow.
OFI Crete moved clear into fifth place as Fotis Papoulis' goal proved decisive at mid-table Ergotelis, while in the day's other game Giannina were 2-1 winners at Kerkyra to move four points clear of the bottom three.
Giannina's goals came in the first half through Ioannis Zaradoukas (20) and Leandro Becerra (42) before Kerkyra pulled one back through Christos Kalantzis (55) and Giannina had Andi Lila sent off in the 69th minute.
