Fenerbache are two points off the pace of Super Lig leaders Galatasaray after a 2-1 win over Mersin Idmanyurdu today.
Ahead of kick-off, Fenerbache were trailing the leaders by five points, but got off to a great start on their way to bagging all three points by taking an eighth-minute lead through Henri Bienvenu. They doubled their advantage through Miroslav Stoch before the break and, although Nduka Ozukwo pulled one back in the 57th minute, they had enough to see the game out.
Trabzonspor are fourth after a routine 4-0 win over Ankaragucu. Olcan Adin put them ahead on 13 minutes and Burak Yilmaz made it two just before the hour. And, Ishak Dogan scored an own goal before Yilmaz netted his second.
Istanbul Buyuksehir BSK enjoyed a 4-2 win away at struggling Samsunspor. Metin Depe put them ahead just before the break, with Taner Yalcin and Francisco Lima Madureira making it 3-0.
Samsunspor had a glimmer of hope, though, when Alvaro Dominguez scored in the 82nd minute, but Pierre Webo snuffed that out before Theofanis Gekas' last-minute consolation.
A last-minute penalty from Florian Cernat helped Karabukspor beat Manisaspor 2-1. Murat Erdogan gave Manisaspor the lead, but Mehmet Yildiz equalised. The visitors then had Jerry Akaminko sent off, with Cernat scoring from the spot in the aftermath.
Gaziantepspor defeated Sivasspor 2-1, with Michael Eneramo first putting Sivasspor ahead. However, Erman Kilic's own goal levelled things up before Sivasspor's Kivanc Karakas saw red and substitute Muhammet Demir won it for Gaziantepspor.
In the day's other game, Bogdan Stancu's goal was enough to give Orduspor a 1-0 win at Eskisehirspor.
