Galatasaray moved three points clear at the Turkish Super Lig summit this evening with a 3-0 win at ten-man Trabzonspor.
Johan Elmander put the visitors ahead after five minutes and Selcuk Inan doubled their advantage a minute before the break.
The visitors' cause was not helped by the dismissal of midfielder Didier Zokora ten minutes into the second half, but Gala could only manage one further goal and that came in stoppage time courtesy of home goalkeeper Tolga Zengin.
Besiktas moved up to second - level on points with Fenerbahce, who visit Bursaspor tomorrow - but lost ground on the leaders after being held 1-1 at home by Istanbul Buyuksehir BSK.
Mustafa Pektemek looked to have earned Besiktas the victory when he opened the scoring in the 71st minute, but substitute Tevfik Kose nicked a point for the away team three minutes from time.
Elsewhere, substitute Ali Zitouni grabbed an 80th-minute winner to give Antalyaspor a 1-0 home triumph against bottom-placed Ankaragucu.
Andre Roberto Beto also came off the bench to net the only goal of the game five minutes from the end to clinch a 1-0 win for Mersin Idmanyurdu at home to Samsunspor. The hosts had Mert Nobre sent off in stoppage time but held on for victory.
Finally, Genclerbirligi came from a goal down to see off Orduspor 3-1, with Yasin Oztekin, Herve Tum and substitute Ermin Zec on target to overturn Juan Culio's 47th-minute opener.
