Dinamo Moscow suffered a 2-0 defeat at Rubin Kazan today as they failed in their bid to close the gap at the top of the Russian Premier League champions group.
The visitors were trailing to a Roman Eremenko strike after just four minutes, while Gokdeniz Karadeniz added another after 22 minutes.
Salvatore Bocchetti was also sent off 12 minutes from time for Dinamo, who remain third in the group four points behind leaders Zenit St Petersburg.
Spartak Moscow are just a point behind the top three following a 1-1 draw with Kuban Krasnodar. Lacina Traore fired Kuban in front after 37 minutes, but Yevgeni Makeev rescued a point for Spartak four minutes from time.
