Trabzonspor took advantage of a goalless draw for Istanbul Buyuksehir to climb up to second in the Super Lig with a 2-1 win over Kayserispor.

Burak Yilmaz scored in each half, while all the visitors could muster was an 88th-minute consolation goal from James Troisi.

The result leaves Trabzonspor two points behind leaders Fenerbahce, and one above Istanbul Buyuksehir, who were held at home by Bursaspor.

Besiktas are four points adrift of the summit after blowing a 2-0 lead to suffer a 4-2 defeat by hosts Genclerbirligi.

Fabian Ernst scored the first after four minutes and Mustafa Pektemek added a second to give Besiktas a comfortable lead at the break. But Herve Tum got the hosts back into it in the 54th minute before Hursut Meric levelled moments later.

An own goal from Egeman Korkmaz put Genclerbirligi in front before substitute Erdal Kilicaslan capped the victory in the final minute.
