Vasco da Gama moved to the top of the Brazilian Campeonato standings after a 2-0 win on the road at Bahia on Sunday.
Loureiro Felipe (23) and Diego Souza (90) scored the goals that moved Vasco into top spot, after erstwhile leaders Corinthians were held to a 1-1 draw at Internacional.
Corinthians needed an 89th-minute equaliser by Alex to rescue a point after Claudinei Nei's 67th-minute opener for Internacional, who lost Andres D'Alessandro to a late red card.
Cruzeiro rallied for a 3-2 win over Atletico Goianiense. Atletico twice went ahead though Thiago Feltri (16) and Felipe (67), with Cruzeiro's leveller coming from Ernesto Farias on 42 minutes. Ramon Anselmo made it 2-2 on 71 minutes before adding his second four minutes later to secure the points for Cruzeiro.
Flamengo and Santos drew 1-1, Neymar hitting a 49th-minute penalty for visiting Santos and Deivid with the equaliser 12 minutes from full-time.
Paulo Baier's 33rd-minute goal secured Atletico Paranaense a 1-0 win over Ceara, while the match between Sao Paulo and Coritiba ended goalless.
