Anderlecht opened up a four-point gap at the top of the Jupiler Pro League today with a last-gasp 2-1 victory at Westerlo.

The visitors trailed for much of the match to a 33rd-minute goal from Steven De Petter, but Roland Juhasz equalised eight minutes from time before a last-minute winner from Guillaume Gillet snatched the points.

The win takes Anderlecht four points clear of a group of three teams which includes Club Brugge, who were beaten 2-1 at KV Kortrijk.

A 79th-minute own goal from goalkeeper Kristof Van Hout gave Brugge a fortunate lead, but goals in the last seven minutes from substitutes Pablo Chavarria and Peter Czvitkovics turned the result on its head.

Gohi Cyriac's goal ten minutes before the break earned Standard Liege a 1-0 win at home to Zulte-Waregem which moved them up to fifth.
