Esteghlal climbed to second in the Iran Pro League as they came from behind to draw 1-1 with Rah Ahan. Alireza Abbasfard gave the visitors a 17th-minute lead but Motjaba Jabari levelled 14 minutes from the end as Esteghlal leapfrogged Teraktor Sazi, who lost 2-1 at Sepahan.
Sepahan were two goals to the good with just over quarter of an hour gone through Emad Mohammed and Ahmad Alenemeh's own goal with Flavio's effort on the stroke of full-time proving a mere consolation.
Igor Castro's strike midway through the second-half gave Zob Ahan a 1-0 win at Saba Battery while Ali Nazifkar scored twice from the spot as Damash downed Foolad 3-2. Finally, Hossein Faraji's last-minute goal salvaged a 1-1 draw for Fajr Sepasi at home to Saipa.
