A late goal by Juan Carlos Valenzuela secured a valuable point for struggling Club America against nine-man Morelia in the Mexican Apertura on Sunday.

Miguel Sabah put the visitors ahead in the 11th minute and appeared to be heading for victory.

However, Luis Noriega was sent off 10 minutes after coming on as a 73rd-minute substitution with Valenzuela levelling a minute later. Morelia were reduced to nine men when Marvin Cabrera was sent off in the last minute.

Toluca and Guadalajara shared a goalless draw.
