Othoniel Arce put Atlante ahead (47) and they were heading for victory before being reduced to ten men nine minutes from time when Christian Sanchez was given a straight red card. Juan Cuevas equalised a minute later.
A last-minute penalty by Flavio Santos secured a point for Atlas with a 2-2 draw against Tijuana in a match between the bottom two sides. Ricardo Jimenez put Atlas ahead (49) but had Hugo Rodrigues sent off (62) and the visitors equalised four minutes later. Fernando Arce then put Tijuana 2-1 up with nine minutes left before they too were reduced to ten men when the same player was sent off with two minutes remaining. The hosts were then awarded a penalty in the last minute which Santos held his nerve to convert.
