PAOK Salonika opened up a two-point gap at the top of the Superleague table with a convincing 3-0 win over AEK Athens on Sunday.

All the goals came in the first half, with Vieirinha firing the home side in front after 16 minutes and Stefanos Athanasiadis adding another in the 38th minute. Dimitris Salpingidis wrapped up the scoring on the stroke of half-time to move PAOK above Panathinaikos, who have a game in hand.

Panetolikos are also two points off the lead following a 2-2 draw against Giannina. The home side took the lead through Georgios Theodoridis' 26th-minute penalty, but goals from Ibrahima Bakayoko (30) and Tomas De Vincenti (34) turned the scoreline in Giannina's favour.

Panetolikos levelled immediately thanks to Henri Camara and, although they were reduced to 10 men six minutes before the interval with the dismissal of Andre Rocha, they held on for the point.

FC Xanthi enjoyed their first win of the season with 3-1 victory at home to OFI Crete, courtesy of goals from Theodoros Vassilakakis (40), Michal Stasiak (51) and Dimitris Souanis (90). Zelkjo Kalajdzic netted OFI's reply in the 66th minute.

The match between Asteras Tripoli and Atromitos finished goalless.
