The Chicago Fire kept alive their slim Major League Soccer play-off hopes with a 3-2 win at home to the New England Revolution on Sunday.

A fifth-minute penalty from Sebastian Grazzini set Chicago on their way with Dominic Oduro adding another four minutes later.

Patrick Nyarko made it three on the half-hour mark and the home side looked to be cruising until two goals from Ryan Guy in the last minute set up a nervy finish.

However, Chicago held on for the win to move six points behind the New York Red Bulls for the 10th and final play-off spot.
