Heerenveen progressed to the third round of the KNVB Beker with a 2-0 win at VVV-Venlo in their all-Eredivisie clash on Tuesday.
Luciano Narsingh and Bas Dost scored the goals inside the opening 20 minutes to seal the visitors progress.

NEC Nijmegen battled back from two goals down to claim a 4-2 extra-time win at Fortuna Sittard. The hosts were 2-0 ahead after an hour thanks to goals from Danny Hoesen and Harrie Gommams. Lasse Schone began the fightback on 71 minutes before Stef Nijland equalised in injury time. Krisztian Vadocz fired NEC ahead for the first time after 112 minutes before Melvin Platje added a fourth in the final minute.
Excelsior thumped their namesakes Excelsior '31 - who hail from Rissen - 5-0 with Jason Oost and Roland Alberg both scoring doubles. Mitchell te Vrede completed the scoring after 88 minutes.
Excelsior's Rotterdam rivals Feyenoord continued their good start to the season as they cast aside the Eerste Divisie's bottom club AGOVV 4-0. First-half strikes from Sekou Cisse (14) and Karim El Ahmadi (39) were followed by Otman Bakkal (51) and Anass Achahbar (68) after the break.
Roda JC were convincing 6-1 winners away to amateur side Bennekom with Wiljan Pluim (8, 39) scoring twice before the break. Davy De Beule (30) and Mitchell Donald (41) were also on target before the break to give the Kerkrade side a 4-0 advantage. Further goals from Ruud Vormer (53) and Rob Wielaert (64) completed Roda's six before Kevin Sissing (71) scored a consolation for the fourth-tier club.
