Tijuana's early-season struggles in the Apertura continued as they were beaten 2-0 at home by Tecos on Sunday.

Having picked up just one win so far, Joaquin del Olmo's men were in the game until half-time before Hugo Colace put Tecos ahead. Herculez Gomez sealed the win in injury time.

Elsewhere, Unam Pumas went fifth as they eased past Toluca 4-1. Toluca took a sixth-minute lead through Ivan Alonson, but Carlos Orrantia and Martin Bravo from the spot turned things around. Javier Cortes converted a second penalty after the break and David Izazola put the seal on things with a 79th-minute fourth.

Morelia got the better of Queretaro 4-2 in a six-goal thriller at Estadio Morelos. Miguel Sabah and Jaime Lozano Espin gave them a two-goal advantage, but Carlos Bueno quickly pulled one back from the spot. Sabah netted for a second time just before the break, but Franco Neill made for a tight finish until Sabah completed his hat-trick in injury time.
