Boca Juniors reclaimed top spot in the Argentinian Apertura with a 2-1 win at Lanus on Sunday.

Lucas Viatri put Boca in front after five minutes, but Lanus drew level moments into the second half through an own goal from Juan Insaurralde. However, Walter Erviti scored the winner on 61 minutes to take Boca back ahead of Atletico Rafaela, who won on Saturday.

At the other end of the table, Estudiantes climbed off the bottom with a thrilling 4-3 win over Argentinos Juniors. Estudiantes twice trailed in the first half after Santiago Salcedo Gonzalez (two) and Pablo Barzola (31) scored for the visitors, but Gabriel Mercado (36), Guido Carrillo and Mauro Fernandez (44) made it 3-2 at the interval. Leandro Barrera equalised five minutes from time, but Mercado grabbed the winner with his second of the game just a minute later.

Sunday's other games were not as exciting, with Union Santa Fe and Racing Club drawing 1-1. Giovanni Moreno (10) put Racing ahead, but goalkeeper Enrique Bologna (67) equalised from the penalty spot and Santa Fe held on for a point despite having Jeronimo Barrales sent off with 20 minutes left.

Newell's Old Boys and Velez Sarsfield also drew 1-1, with Carmelo Valencia equalising two minutes from time after Augusto Fernandez (76) had opened the scoring.
