Guadalajara slip allows Tigres to level
Leaders Guadalajara went down to a 2-0 defeat at San Luis as they were joined at the top of the Apertura by Tigres Monterrey.
Michael Arroyo opened the scoring in the 54th minute with Macnelly Torres sealing victory five minutes from time.
A goal by Damian Alvarez in the 22nd minute was enough to guide Tigres Monterrey to a 1-0 win at Atlas and go level at the top of the table as they continued their unbeaten start to the season.
Monterrey are third, a point behind, after they overcame being reduced to ten men to post a 2-0 win over Santos Laguna. Luis Perez put the hosts ahead before Jose Maria Basanta was given a straight red card five minutes before the break. Humberto Suazo doubled the lead midway through the second half.
A double by Felix Borja guided Pachuca to a 2-0 win over Club America, who had Juan Carlos Valenzuela sent off with 12 minutes left.
Atlanta beat Tecos 2-1, Mario Ortiz putting them ahead and Osvaldo Martinez getting a second with a penalty. Marcelo Alatorre, who had come on as a 29th-minute substitute, was sent off for his second bookable offence with half an hour left for Tecos, who scored a last-minute consolation.
