Atletico Rafaela moved to the top of the Apertura with a 3-1 victory over Olimpo.

Alexis Castro put the hosts ahead in the 38th minute before a Dario Gandin penalty in the 67th minute and a Walter Serrano strike nine minutes later saw them take a 3-0 lead. Nestor Bareiro pulled one back a minute from time but it was merely a consolation.

The result saw newly-promoted Atletico go to the top of the table while Olimpo, who finished fifth last year, are still searching for their first win after four games. Lanus, meanwhile, could have taken top spot if they had beaten Tigre, but the game finished goalless.

Velez Sarsfield missed the opportunity to make inroads on the leaders when they went down 1-0 to All Boys, despite the visitors finishing the match with ten men.

Carlos Soto was sent off for his second bookable offence in the 52nd minute but it made little difference to the Buenos Aires team, who scored the only goal through Emanuel Perea with 22 minutes remaining.
