Borussia Dortmund striker Lucas Barrios has not even kicked a ball this season yet, but he has his heart set on being the Bundesliga's top goalscorer this season. The Paraguayan international has netted 44 times in 67 games for Dortmund and he intends to further improve that ratio when he gets back in action for the Bundesliga champions.

He is still a few weeks away from making a full recovery from a thigh injury and told the Bild newspaper how he intends to make up for lost time when he does get back in action. "Of course I would love a season in which I win the top goalscorer's award," he said. "That would be a dream. What is important is that I make the difference in this team. I have not set a specific target (of goals), but I will work hard."

Barrios will be keen to discover who his side will face in the Champions League when the draw is made in Monaco tomorrow, and he has set his sights on a recovery in time for the first group game in mid-September. "I would like to get back as quickly as possible, but I hope to be back training with the team after the international break at the start of September. It should not take long then for me to be back in top form."

Barrios, Dortmund's top goalscorer last season with 16 goals, picked up his thigh injury during the Copa America.
