BK Hacken moved within a point of third-placed AIK in the Allsvenska after they won 1-0 at Halmstad today. 

John Chibuike scored their only goal in the 34th minute and they secured maximum points despite the 84th-minute dismissal of Jonas Bjurstrom. For bottom side Halmstad it was a 15th defeat in 21 matches.

In the day's other top-flight game, Mjallby climbed out of the bottom three thanks to a 3-0 home win over Syrianska. A first-half brace from Marcus Ekenberg (11 and 40) put them in command and David Lofqvist wrapped up the win in the 62nd minute.
