Jeffren Suarez has set his sights on regular first-team action and silverware after being formally presented as a Sporting player last night.

The forward completed his move from Barcelona yesterday and told a press conference at Estadio Alvalade: "I promise that I will work hard and with ambition.

"I want to grow and I want to win as many titles as I can. That is something that I can do here, for myself but also for this great team.

"Here at Sporting, I might get the chance to play more games than I did at Barcelona and that will help me grow as a player.

"I feel really proud to have been given the chance to play here and the confidence that is being shown in me makes me really happy."

Jeffren passed up the chance to move to Udinese last month as part of the deal which saw the European champions sign Chile winger Alexis Sanchez.

Barça instead afforded the 23-year-old the opportunity to find a club that best suited him as he sought regular first-team football.

Jeffren made just 35 appearances in all competitions after joining Barcelona's senior ranks in 2008, having previously played for the Catalan side's B team.
