Liaoning missed the chance to move second in the
Aleksandar Jevtic made it 3-0 four minutes later with the Serbian striker adding another four minutes before the interval to put his side four goals ahead. A Zhao Junzhe penalty on the stroke of half-time got Liaoning on the board and Yu Hanchao also scored after 76 minutes, but the damage had already been done.
Liaoning remain one point behind second-placed Beijing Guoan, and now have defending champions Shandong Luneng breathing down their necks after their 1-1 draw with Tianjin Teda. Luciano Olguin's 21st-minute penalty gave Tianjin the lead, but Lebanon international Roda Antar rescued a point for Shandong after 64 minutes.
Shenzhen climbed off the foot of the table with a late 2-0 victory at home to Shanghai Shenhua. Huang Fengtao scored twice in the last 11 minutes for Shenzhen, with goals after 79 and 90 minutes.
Chengdu Blades now prop up the standings after throwing away a two-goal lead in a 2-2 draw with Changchun Yatai. Goals from Javier Romero (41) and John Hutchinson (57) put Chengdu in the driving seat, but Zhang Wenzhao reduced arrears after 72 minutes with Wanpeng Wang grabbing an equaliser ten minutes from time.
Nanchang Bayi are two points better off than the bottom two following a 1-0 win over Dalian Shide, Wen Xu scoring the only goal from the penalty spot after 80 minutes. Leandro Netto's 53rd-minute strike earned Henan Jianye a 1-0 result at home to Shanxi Zhongxin, while Qingdao Zhongneng were 3-1 winners over Hangzhou Greentown.
Liu Jian's fourth-minute opener for Qingdao was cancelled out by Paulo Pezzolano nine minutes into the second half. But Zheng Long restored the home side's lead a minute later with Jianrong Zhu making sure of the points 13 minutes from time.
