Los Angeles Galaxy extended their unbeaten run to 14 games in style as they scored four times in the second half to claim a 4-0 win at the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Landon Donovan was the architect for the Galaxy, netting in the 61st minute and converting a penalty 13 minutes later, before Sean Franklin and Adam Cristman rounded off the scoring.

The victory put them six points clear at the top of the Western Conference, while at the top of the East, Columbus Crew sealed a 2-0 win at Real Salt Lake. The scoring was over inside the first ten minutes, Eddie Gaven and Tom Heinemann doing the damage.

Teal Bunbury netted a minute from time to earn Sporting Kansas City a 1-1 draw against New England Revolution. Rajko Lekic scored the opener for the Revolution, who had AJ Soares sent off eight minutes from the end.

Dwayne De Rosario scored both goals as DC United, who later had Andy Najar sent off 20 minutes from the end, beat the San Jose Earthquakes 2-0.

Brian Ching scored twice to lead Houston Dynamo to a 3-1 win over the Seattle Sounders. Ching scored either side of Alvaro Fernandez's response from the penalty spot, after Colin Clark had opened the scoring for Houston.

Peri Marosevic and Danny Koevermans scored in the last 20 minutes as Toronto FC came from two goals down to claim a 2-2 draw at the Portland Timbers, who had led through Eddie Johnson's strike and a penalty from Jack Jewsbury.
