Thierry Henry has ruled out any chance of returning to Europe, even on a short-term loan.

The former Arsenal star joined David Beckham in Major League Soccer last year, signing for the New York Red Bulls. Earlier this year, Henry returned to the Gunners to use their training facilities at London Colney in a bid to gain full fitness ahead of the new American season.

I am done with Europe. I was fortunate enough to win everything at club level and now I am happy where I am.

However, sitting alongside David Beckham, who will be a team-mate in the MLS All-Star side to face Manchester United at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday, the 33-year-old rejected the idea of following the Englishman's lead and heading back to Europe for a short spell.

"Nope. I am happy here," said Henry. "I am done with Europe. I was fortunate enough to win everything at club level and now I am happy where I am. I am trying to help my team win something, which is very difficult. I respect what David has done but right now, for me, no."

Becks' England ambitions
Beckham later explained his reasons for twice joining AC Milan; furthering an international career he has not abandoned even though it is over 12 months since he least featured for the English national team.

"I would love to be involved with the England side again," he said. "I always said I would be available for my country. We have a lot of great young talent coming through and it is great that the manager is giving these kids a chance. They deserve it.

"But I always said I would leave the door open. I would always want to be involved," he went on. "I am proud to have played 115 times. I have always had a good relationship with Fabio Capello. He has a tough job but if there was a chance I would love to play for my country again."
