New Barcelona signing Alexis Sanchez is keen to avoid comparisons with Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Sanchez, who signed on a five-year deal last week, was presented to the press at the Camp Nou today and said he was keen to help bring more titles to the club.

Sanchez was welcomed by hundreds of Chilean fans at Barcelona's El Prat airport last night and said: "It was incredible - like a film.

"I want to learn from players like [Lionel] Messi and Xavi - and I want to help the club win more titles."

Sanchez was also questioned about the similarities in his playing style to Real's Ronaldo, a player he will face in next month's Supercopa.

"I respect Cristiano Ronaldo; he's a great player," he said. "But I don't want to be compared to anyone."

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old revealed coach Pep Guardiola had been instrumental in his decision to move from Udinese to Barcelona.

"He called me and that was very important for me - to know that he wanted me gave me confidence."
