That was how the score stayed until injury time when goals from Sergio Perez and Neri Cardozo sewed up an emphatic-looking win. There were also home wins for Unam Pumas and Club America as they beat San Luis and Queretaro respectively.
First-half goals from Carlos Cacho and Martin Bravo sealed a 2-0 win for Unam Pumas. Club America also struck twice before half-time, thanks to a Efrain Cortes own goal (28) and Christian Benitez's (43) strike, in their 2-1 win at Queretaro.
Franco Neill scored a consolation goal for the hosts in the final minute.
