Atletico Madrid have confirmed the signing of Tiago after the Portugal midfielder secured his exit from Juventus.
The 30-year-old, who had his contract with the Serie A side terminated by mutual consent, has signed a two-year deal with Atletico, with whom he spent last season on loan. Tiago struggled to make an impact in Turin, making just 42 appearances for the club after joining the Serie A outfit in 2007 from Lyon.
A statement on the Atletico website read: "Tiago is an Atletico Madrid player after his contract with Juventus was terminated and he has signed a two-year deal with the Red and Whites."
The Portugal international, who had one year left on his contract with I Bianconeri, will get the chance to make his first appearance since signing permanently in Atletico's UEFA Europa League third qualifying round tie against Stromsgodset on 28 July.
