Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of Spain U-21 striker Adrian Lopez.

The 23-year-old, who was the leading scorer at the recent UEFA U-21 European Championship, with five goals as Spain won the tournament, played for relegated Deportivo La Coruna last season and has also had spells at Alaves and Malaga.

Atletico announced on their website: "Adrian Lopez has passed his medical with Atletico Madrid and signed his contract with Los Rojiblancos. This afternoon the player will be presented at the Vicente Calderon."
