Details of the move from Siena, and Coulibaly's Tottenham contract, have not been revealed by his new club. Coulibaly did not make a first-team appearance for Siena, however he shone in Mexico last month.

He scored four goals against Denmark and a hat-trick against Brazil as the young Côte d'Ivoire side reached the last 16, where they were knocked out by France, and his haul equalled a tournament record which was set by France's Florent Sinama Pongolle 10 years ago.

Coulibaly's playing style has seen the teenager likened to Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, a fellow Ivorian, and he was linked with moves to many of Europe's leading clubs including Real Madrid, after his stunning run of goalscoring.
