Former France international Ousmane Dabo has announced his retirement at the age of 34. The Frenchman, who enjoyed a 16-year career playing in some of Europe's top leagues, has decided to hang up his boots after a long battle against a succession of injuries.

Dabo began his career with in his homeland with Rennes in 1995 before stints at Inter Milan, Parma, Atalanta, Monaco and two spells at Lazio. He also spent two and a half seasons at Manchester City between 2006 to 2008.
