Stuttgart have completed the signing of Mexico international Francisco Rodriguez from PSV Eindhoven. The 29-year-old arrives at the Bundesliga club for an undisclosed fee and has put pen to paper on a three-year deal.

Stuttgart sporting director Fredi Bobic said: "We've managed to sign an experienced centre-back. He knows European football well and won't need any time to settle in, so he can help our team straight away."

Rodriguez added: "VfB are a big club with a lot of standing in Germany and Europe. I spoke to Fredi Bobic and [Stuttgart coach] Bruno Labbadia and their concept appealed to me. The move from PSV to VfB represents a new sporting challenge. I hope to settle in with my new team-mates and their style quickly so that I can help the team to reach its goals."

Rodriguez, capped 61 times by his country, joined PSV in May 2008 from Guadalajara and went on to make over 80 appearances for the club in all competitions.
